About the event

๐ŸŽฎ VALORANT WEEKEND SHOWDOWN

A Two-Day Competitive VALORANT Tournament

Get your team together and join us for a full weekend of competitive VALORANT at Respawn Esports Centre.

This is a Double Elimination 5v5 tournament, giving teams the opportunity to fight their way back through the Lower Bracket after an early loss rather than being eliminated immediately.

Whether you're competing for the championship, fighting your way through the Lower Bracket, or testing your team against the competition, this event is designed to deliver a proper competitive LAN tournament experience from start to finish.

๐Ÿ”ฅ EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
  • ๐ŸŽฎ Standard 5v5 VALORANT
  • ๐Ÿ† Double Elimination
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Maximum 8 Teams
  • โš”๏ธ Upper & Lower Brackets

  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Two-Day Tournament

Maximum 8 teams. First paid, first confirmed.

๐Ÿ† TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The tournament will use a Double Elimination format consisting of an Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket.

Every team starts in the Upper Bracket.

  • A loss in the Upper Bracket moves the team into the Lower Bracket.
  • A loss in the Lower Bracket eliminates the team from the tournament.
  • Teams can fight their way through the Lower Bracket and make a run for the Grand Final.
  • The tournament continues until the final teams remain.

This means one bad match does not automatically end your tournament.

The final tournament bracket and match schedule will be published once registrations have closed, teams have been confirmed and the team lock has taken place.

โš”๏ธ EVENT FORMAT

This is a Standard 5v5 VALORANT tournament.

Tournament Rules
  • Maximum 8 teams
  • 5 players per team
  • Standard VALORANT tournament format
  • All standard matches are Best-of-1 (BO1)
  • Matches use the full 13-round format
  • Overtime will be played where required under the tournament rules
  • The Grand Final will be Best-of-3 (BO3)

The BO1 format allows the tournament to maintain a good pace across the two-day event while still providing teams with the full standard VALORANT match experience.

The Grand Final will be played as a BO3 to provide a proper championship finish and determine the tournament winner.

๐Ÿ”’ TEAM CAP & REGISTRATION

This event has a strict maximum of 8 teams.

There will be no additional teams added once all 8 places have been confirmed.

Each team must register as a complete 5-player team.

โš ๏ธ Registration Does Not Secure Your Place

The first 8 teams to complete payment will have their places confirmed.

Registration alone does not guarantee your team's place. Payment does.

Once 8 teams have been fully paid and confirmed, registrations will close.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Team Captain Responsibilities

Team Captains are responsible for:

  • Registering their team
  • Providing accurate player information
  • Ensuring all team members are available for the event

Your team's tournament place is only confirmed once payment has been received.

First paid, first confirmed.

There will be no on-the-day payments accepted for tournament entry.

Any team that has registered but has not completed payment by the deadline may be removed from the tournament and their place offered to another team.

The final prize pool and exact prize distribution will be confirmed once registrations have closed and the final number of paid teams is known.

No in-house credit. These are genuine cash prizes.

The final prize breakdown will be published before the tournament begins.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ TEAM LOCK & FINAL SCHEDULE

All teams will be locked into the tournament the day before the event.

Once the team lock has taken place:

  • The final team list will be confirmed
  • The Double Elimination bracket will be finalised
  • Match times will be scheduled
  • The final tournament schedule will be published

Once the team lock has taken place, roster changes may not be possible.

Team Captains should ensure all player details are correct before the team lock.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ TWO-DAY EVENT

This is a full two-day Double Elimination tournament.

All teams should be prepared to remain available throughout the tournament weekend.

Because the tournament uses Double Elimination, the number of matches each team plays will depend on their results.

Teams that remain in the Upper Bracket may play fewer matches, while teams fighting through the Lower Bracket may play additional matches.

The final schedule will be published after the team lock and final bracket have been created.

Teams must be available and ready to play at their scheduled match times.

Failure to be ready when required may result in a forfeit.

๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ KEYBOARDS, MICE & PERIPHERALS

Players are welcome to bring and use their own preferred gaming peripherals, including:

  • Gaming mouse
  • Keyboard
  • Mousepad
  • Other personal peripherals where permitted

If you do not have your own preferred equipment, Respawn Esports Centre standard mouse, keyboard and mousepad equipment can be provided.

If you require Respawn equipment, please let us know before your scheduled match so we can ensure it is ready for you.

Players using their own peripherals are responsible for bringing everything they need and ensuring their equipment is working correctly before their match.

โฑ๏ธ MATCH SETUP & WARM-UP

To keep the tournament running on schedule, teams will have a strict 8-minute setup and warm-up period before their match.

This time is intended for:

  • Setting up personal peripherals
  • Connecting equipment
  • Checking controls and settings
  • Quick warm-up
  • Preparing to begin the match

Teams are expected to be ready to play when their allocated setup and warm-up period ends.

Please arrive prepared and have your equipment ready to minimise delays between matches.

The 8-minute setup and warm-up limit will be strictly enforced to help keep the tournament running on schedule.

๐Ÿ“Š POTENTIAL TOURNAMENT FORMAT ADJUSTMENT

We want to be transparent with everyone about a potential format adjustment based on the final number of confirmed, paid teams.

Our currently advertised format is BO1 for standard matches, with a BO3 Grand Final. However, because this is a two-day event, we're considering whether adjusting the format for smaller team numbers could provide a better competitive experience for everyone.

๐Ÿ† PROPOSED FORMAT BASED ON FINAL TEAM NUMBERS

๐Ÿ”น 4โ€“6 confirmed paid teams: All matches BO3, including the Grand Final.

๐Ÿ”น 7โ€“8 confirmed paid teams: Standard matches BO1, with the Grand Final BO3, as originally advertised.

โš”๏ธ The double-elimination format remains the same, with upper and lower brackets. We have 20 PCs available, allowing two 5v5 matches to run simultaneously where the bracket permits.

โฑ๏ธ APPROXIMATE TOTAL TOURNAMENT TIME

The following are preliminary estimates for the entire tournament across Saturday and Sunday combined, not per day. They allow for two simultaneous matches where possible, with some time for match transitions and breaks.

CURRENT FORMAT: Standard matches BO1 + Grand Final BO3

๐Ÿ”น 4 teams: Approximately 3โ€“5 hours
๐Ÿ”น 5 teams: Approximately 4โ€“6 hours
๐Ÿ”น 6 teams: Approximately 5โ€“7 hours
๐Ÿ”น 7 teams: Approximately 6โ€“9 hours
๐Ÿ”น 8 teams: Approximately 7โ€“10 hours

PROPOSED FORMAT: All matches BO3 for 4โ€“6 teams

๐Ÿ”น 4 teams: Approximately 5โ€“8 hours
๐Ÿ”น 5 teams: Approximately 7โ€“10 hours
๐Ÿ”น 6 teams: Approximately 9โ€“13 hours

These estimates are for planning purposes only. Actual timings will depend on match lengths, overtime, map changes, breaks, delays and the order in which bracket matches can be played. The Grand Final may also require an additional series if the tournament rules provide for a bracket reset.

๐Ÿ’ฌ WHY ARE WE CONSIDERING THIS?

With fewer teams, BO3 matches could provide more substantial competitive play, reduce the impact of a single map and help make better use of the two-day event.

With 7โ€“8 teams, retaining BO1 for standard matches should help keep the tournament manageable while still giving the finalists a BO3 Grand Final.

We don't want to unnecessarily stretch out matches, but we also want to make sure everyone gets a worthwhile tournament experience.

๐Ÿค WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

For now, we're sticking with the currently advertised format. Once we know the final number of paid teams, we'll review the options and discuss any potential adjustment with the teams before matches begin.

No format change has been confirmed. We're sharing this in advance so everyone knows what we're considering and why, rather than introducing a surprise change on the day.

Our priority is to keep the tournament fair, competitive and enjoyable for everyone while making the best use of the two days.

๐Ÿ† Thanks for your understanding, and we'll see you all there! ๐Ÿ”ฅ
